Not a FL State Park but we saw pics and had to visit the waterfront sites in person! We were not disappointed! Extremely pleasant.

We went back, huge mistake. We got ripped off. Booked and paid a premium for a waterFRONT site, and we were assigned an obstructed-view water view site. Completely unacceptable. This RV Park is managed by incompentent crooks. Do yourself a big favor and take your RV to any other RV Park. |

Little Manatee River State Park, FL. Beautiful. Very nice, private sites. Great hiking. Very quiet. We dodged tornados to get here!

Highlands Hammock State Park, FL. Very beautiful. Great hiking. Lots of children but still quiet. Speed bumps on entry were very annoying. My pull-through site was marked on the inside but not visible from the road, the water spigot was 6" off the ground... We're glad we went but aren't likely to return.

Sunset Beach Park, FL. Cute little park. No dogs allowed. We didn't hang around too long because we didn't want to spend Christmas in jail!

Tarpon Springs, FL. Had planned on going to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park but didn't get there early enough so we went to Tarpon Springs and took a Dolphin Cruise. Sooo beautiluf!

Alafia River State Park! Incredibly beautiful! It wasn't a warm weekend but you felt cozy with nature. We saw deer. We were visited repeatedly by a bright red cardinal!

This is a County Park, not a State Park, in Dade City, FL. The actual camp sites are nice, kinda "old Florida," quaint. Sites are roomy, nice shade. Pretty much everything else is not very remarkable. Worst trail markings of all time. No printed maps or guides. Dirt roads, both ways, in and out. Sort of glad we visited, most certainly won't be back.

This is a privately-owned campground in Homosassa, FL. It's an hour drive from our home. We spent 2 hours and 15 minutes on this trashy little place.

What an amazingly beautiful place! Three gator sightings in 2 days! Wild deer running around! This County Park is absolutely fantastic. (Very narrow 2-lane approaching the Park.) We will return often!

Our 2004 Winnebago Adventurer 33V broke down for the last time. We said "Goodbye," and now we're moving on... Bought a brand new truck (Ford, F-150, V8, Max Tow Package) and a brand new travel trailer (Grand Design Imagine 2970RL).

Our brand new Grand Design Imagine 2970RL Travel Trailer arrived at LazyDays! We checked it out, spent the night there, learned lots of new stuff, and then drove her home!

Absolutely shocked! This 2020 Grand Design Imagine 2970RL is so much better than the 2004 Winnebago Adventurer 33V we had! We spent some time getting outfitted, getting organized, personalizing the trailer. Still need to add some curtains, otherwise she's ready. What's next? Maiden voyage, SHAKEDOWN. I figured close to home base would be sorta smart (and getting Florida State Park reservations during the Snowbird invasion is close to impossible, big thanks to you folks because I'll be visiting new places while not paying State Income Tax).

We couldn't get reservations at CCSP so we stayed at a nearby RV Resort. ("Resort" is not exactly accurate. Half of the place is an RV Graveyard. It's also directly alongside a railroad and trains pass every few hours and always blow their whistle, even at 3:30am.) But it was clean enough, full hookups, very friendly staff.

We couldn't get reservations at Lake Manatee State Park so we stayed at a nearby KOA. Hunsader Farms, a working farm with many attractions, pull-through sites, full hookups, quite comfortable. Very cold and windy Friday and Friday night, not so cold and windy Saturday, and almost nice on Sunday. And we hiked a bit at Lake Manatee State Park. The best part of the weekend? Nothing broke! Nothing needed fixing! I'm loving my new truck and I'm loving my new Travel Trailer.

Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park is one of the best if not the best hiking State Parks in all of Florida! We hiked the EagleTrail and enjoyed every minute of it.

1st RV weekend after the COVID-19! The Park was a bit over 50% capacity. The Gift Shop was open and Boat Tour was running. The Bird Walk was closed. Beautiful as always!

This is our 4th weekend here. This is one of my most favorite hikes anywhere in Central Florida. The Lonesome Lake Trail around a beautiful lake.

This is our second weekend at this amazingly beautiful Florida State Park. On our first visit we hiked the Nature Trail looking for monkeys. This time, during record-tying heat, we went to the tourist section of the Park and we were not even slightly disappointed. Some of the most beautiful and pristine natural spring water you ll ever see.

Very pleasant and scenic hike along the Canal. Site #47 was the most un-level camp site I'd ever seen... And the site was backwards, the picnic table and firepit were on the backside of the RV. No WiFi. Glad we visited but won't consider returning.

This is our 2nd visit to Lake Louisa State Park. It is such a beautiful place! Excellent hiking, DO NOT miss the Defensive Driving segment at the end: We were almost killed (not joke, no exaggeration)!

Absolutely beautiful, classic Florida beautiful. Many problems with this particular State Park but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. Smokin' great WiFi. (And another Defensive Driving episode at the end.)

Outstanding location. 10 minutes from some of the beast beaches on the planet. If you like beach shop shopping stay here. Narrow roads, narrow sites. They escort you to your site, they collect your garbage daily. My site was terrible. Hookups were at the very end of the site, took both water hoses to get water, every inch of 50amp power cable to get electric, and two sewer hoses couldn't reach the sewer hookup. Smokin' hot AT&T wifi, absolutely dead Sprint. I'm glad we visited but we won't be back.

Had to cancel a State Park reservation to avoid driving home with a hurricane. Went to a nearby KOA instead to hike at another State Park. Sweetie had a bad allergy weekend. Ended up relaxing and napping...

Another trip to Alifia River State Park. We like this one. Quick and easy to get to, decent sites. (I pulled into my site, hopped out to check alignment with hookups and level and discovered I was dead level!) Sweetie is allergic to weather, Sunday was rainy, Monday it was too cold for a hike, and we had a flat tire when we got home...

A. L, Anderson Park is a County Park in Tarpon Springs, FL. Very clean, very well maintained. We saw three gators. Not a challenging hike, more like a pleasant stroll.

Very nice springs and hiking. The boardwalks are the highlight (when the manatees aren't here). Dirt roads in the campground (messy to sit outside), our site was screwy (picnic table on the utility side of the rig), and almost no Internet. We bugged out a couple of days early. Glad we went, won't ever return.

Our 3rd time to this actual working farm. Part of the KOA chain. Very nice, almost manicured, clean, full hookups. Smokin' fast WiFi (AT&T). We hiked Lake Manatee State Park and Rye Preserve.

2022 has been a weird year so far. I got COVID (no RVing), got over COVID (no hiking), and here it is almost Summer in Florida (too hot for RVing and hiking).

We went back to Colt Creek State Park! My weight is still down but getting better, my strength is way off but coming back very slowly. 3+ mile hikes are entirely out of the question. Maybe some day...
